Armands Freibergs
Digital Artist. I'm constantly exploring the relationship between classical painting and new image-making techniques, busy thinking about what it means to paint in the 21st century and what Dali would do in Blender. I would call myself a painter, but that might confuse most people since I do not produce physical artwork. Instead, I am mostly spending my time behind the screen creating surreal environments, doing 3D modeling/sculpting, making 3D look 2D, and vice versa. Nevertheless, I see my work in 3D as a way of contemporary painting, inspired by different visual cultures - gaming, fashion, nature, fine art, cartoons, and subcultures. Lately, I have been digging into NFTs and cryptocurrencies. What I love the most is the ability to create perspectives ever seen before and environments that seem physically accurate but would not be possible in a physical reality.
